Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern access to GRCHero Audit and its website, audit workspace and related services. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms.

Professional use and auditor responsibility

GRCHero Audit supports audit planning, fieldwork, reporting and follow-up. It does not replace professional judgement, legal advice, accounting advice or an organisation’s governance processes. AI-generated and other automated outputs are suggestions or drafts. You are responsible for reviewing evidence, validating outputs and approving conclusions before relying on or publishing them.

Accounts and authorised users

You must provide accurate account information, keep credentials secure and use the service only through an account you are authorised to access. Organisation owners are responsible for inviting appropriate users, assigning roles and removing access when it is no longer required.

Your content

You retain ownership of content you upload or create. You grant us and our service providers the limited right to host, copy, process and transmit that content only as needed to provide, secure and support the service. You confirm that you have the rights and authority required to upload and process the content, including confidential and personal information.

Acceptable use

You may not use the service to break the law; infringe another person’s rights; upload malware; attempt unauthorised access; interfere with service operation; evade usage limits; reverse engineer protected parts of the service except where law permits; or use the service to make decisions requiring human review without appropriate professional oversight.

Plans, payments and changes

Plan features, capacities, prices and billing periods are shown on the Plans and checkout pages or in an agreed quotation. Taxes may apply. Paid access may be limited or suspended if payment is overdue. We may change plans or prices prospectively and will communicate material changes that affect an active paid subscription.

Confidentiality and security

We will handle customer content as confidential and use reasonable safeguards designed to protect it. You remain responsible for deciding what information is appropriate to place in the service, configuring user access and maintaining your own copies of important final records.

Availability and changes to the service

We aim to provide a reliable service, but uninterrupted availability is not guaranteed. Features may be improved, replaced or withdrawn. We may suspend access where reasonably necessary for security, maintenance, legal compliance, non-payment or misuse.

Intellectual property

GRCHero Audit, its software, design, branding and documentation are owned by us or our licensors. These terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service during your authorised access; they do not transfer ownership of the service.

Termination

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for a material breach, security risk, unlawful use or non-payment. Sections that by their nature should continue—including ownership, confidentiality, responsibility and limitations—survive termination.

Disclaimers and liability

To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided without guarantees that every error, exception or risk will be identified. We are not responsible for audit conclusions, professional decisions or losses caused by relying on unreviewed automated output. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how personal data is handled.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service develops. The effective date above identifies the current version. Material changes affecting active users will be communicated reasonably.
